Recently
the Bhakti Marga art team was asked to plan and create an
iconostasis. An iconostasis is a wall with large icon paintings,
separating the sanctuary from the nave. In our case the iconostasis
has a surface of 2,41 meters height and 4,55 meters width.
In a first
step an exact plan is established, the composition with the pictures
is drawn und the wooden panels are cut to size.
Then
follows the enlargement
of the icons and the drawings, as well as the grounding of the wooden
panels.
Hereafter you
see the different stages in the artistic work. A group of 4-5 artists
has worked intensively during the last 3 months on this lovely
religious project.
In
tranquillity and prayer emerges this iconostasis which will be placed
in a church in order to inspire many people to prayer and silent
devotion.
In a further
report we will show you the last work stages until completion of this
iconostasis.
